About Us

The people of Boardman United Methodist Church meet to passionately worship God in Jesus Christ, and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to go forth in compassionate service to the community and the world.

Boardman is a large township just south of the city of Youngstown, Ohio.  While Youngstown has declined economically with the closure of the many steel mills, Boardman has grown to become the commerce center of the region, with many shopping centers and restaurants.  The low cost of living has attracted many senior citizens in recent years to ever-increasing condominium developments.

From our roots as a farming community in the early 1800’s to our present place as a large township, the people of Boardman United Methodist Church continue to grow in mission and discipleship as the hands and heart of Jesus Christ.  We are an active congregation with a variety of worship styles and ministries to suit many individuals, trusting in the grace of God as witnessed by the people called United Methodists.
